Matching funding awarded to fortification research project
DutchCulture has awarded the Forts Project of the New Holland Foundation with the matchingfund.
Forts Project is a comprehensive study of overseas Dutch fortifications built between the 16th and 18th century. The project starts with a research in Brazil and North America. The New Holland Foundation will be cooperating with a variety of partners. Among those partners are the New Netherlands Institute in the United States and the Federal University of Pernambuco in Brazil. The results will be published in the Atlas of Mutual Heritage.
